With our regular catch and release tagging programme at Te Tapuwae o Rongakako marine reserve we see a few packies. They generally are in pairs or threes and usually the same size. 1 pair tagged in the reserve were recaptured and released together at east cape which is 95km from the reserve. How they travel that distance together and not get seperated is truely incredable. Considering the number of predators and cray pots they would of passed.
