I saw this moray on the western side of Serpent rock, it had one eye remaining. I also have a shot of a yellow from Maomao arch missing the right eye and saw another Speckled a while ago in South harbour missing the left.
The yellow had scarring but the Speckled in the photo doesn't appear to have any scarring. I wondered if it was congenital or whether the tissue had grown back over a long time.
Is the Poor Knights unusal in having a number of one eyed/eyeless morays?
