I asked Rudie Kuiter, an Australian nudibranch expert and coauthor of 'Nudibranchs of the World" to look at your slide. He and I both think it is Alloiodoris lanuginata, which seems to be relatively widespread in NZ and NSW, though not common here. It is recognisable by the numerous small tubercles on the body, and it's often pale on the sides grading to darker (brownish or greyish) on top, with diffuse dark spots.
