Hi John, thanks very much for posting this image and information on your sightings. The ratio Disc Length/Disc Width is about 0.4927 in the giant manta. Using your estimate of 750 mm TL for the remora next to its dorsal fin, this makes the ray about 4.46 m across the wings; probably somewhat bigger given that it's body is not perfectly straight.
