Dear Wade Doak,
Many years ago you were so kind to answer my questions about solitary dolphins. Now I am thrilled to inform you that since a couple of months we meet with a group of dolphins near the coast of Ibiza (Spain). In April we found a group of 6, with two mothers with babies ( they are quite big now). Lately it seems that they joined with another group and in this one we se two very small babies who sometimes jump together out of the water. They are so small that they look as if recently born. Most of the time the whole group is feeding in the bay and when we turn of the motor we hear their blowholes, sometimes we are surrounded by at least 10. Sometimes a couple leaps up, forming a figure. Do you know if two separate groups join'? and if so, because of the babies? And do you know if they have a regular time schedule ; at 7 mornings we find them in one bay, in the evenings in another direction. I tried to swim with them, but they paid no attention, I think. If we feed them fresh fish, would that be bad for them? Wow, this is the most wonderful thing I could experience!!!!!! Hoping you can give us some advice,
kind regards, Wietske Hoekstra
