Radio talk: There is a radio interview I did with Tim Lynch on Green Radio FM recently in which I talk about dolphins and whales, about the ocean; the value of marines reserves and the huge success of the Poor Knights Marine Reserve. Then I speak about patterns of life in the sea in comparison with those on land: Above and Below, Patterns That Connect, a theme that has occupied me intensively of recent as Jan and I study terrestrial life after a half century underwater. It concludes with ideas about human ecology and sustainability that I have reached after many years looking at patterns of life in the ocean and on land.
The talk has been broadcast twice. Tim gives a four-minute introduction before phoning me. It is a downloadable 13.7 MB podcast.
I must add that my knowledge of dolphins is specialized: the area of dolphin and whale encounters with people has been my area of study. Here is the link:
