Jan and I had a great trip to the Poor Knights on Monday, thanks to Dive!Tutukaka an El Tigre. We were amazed to see and document snapper schooling on the surface after shrimps along with blue maomao. Both species had their backs humping out of the water, slurping prey. The snapper were just in front of the maos, herding their prey against along the east wall in the Southern Arch. Luke Howe, veteran skipper, told us later that he has seen that going on for abour four years now. Something we never saw in the past! Another of the exciting changes the no-take Reserve is manifesting .
