MOKO'S latest stunt, according to the Gisborne Herald, is stealng the surf board of a surfer, after they had been playing for some time. Then Moko teased him with it, withdrawing it at the last moment. Eventually a rescue boat came out to get the surfer who was some distance offshore. Then the playful dolphin transferred interest to the boat, so that the board could easily be recovered. The surfer's dad was filming the whole episode and said there was no resentment; the dolphin was just havng fun.
When with a very sociable group of spotted dolphins in the Bahamas* I recall an episode where people were playing a version of the seaweed game with them: using a tee shirt. When a dolphin got the shirt it vanished and the shirt was lost for good. [* my book 'Encounters with Whales and Dolphins'.]
